Oura Ring shipping time
The honest end-to-end timeline, from clicking buy to actually wearing the ring. Two stages — sizing kit, then the ring — and the second stage is the slower one.
The two-stage timeline
Buying an Oura Ring is unusual: you cannot just order the ring. You order a free sizing kit first, wear it for a day or two to confirm your size, then place the actual order. Both stages have separate shipping times.
Stage 1 — sizing kit
- UK: 5-7 working days. Royal Mail tracked.
- US: 3-5 working days. USPS or UPS depending on origin.
- EU: 5-10 working days. DHL.
- Australia / NZ: 7-14 working days.
Stage 2 — the ring
Once you confirm your size and pay for the ring, manufacturing-to-doorstep:
- UK: 7-14 working days. DHL Express most common; Royal Mail for some lower-tier orders.
- US: 5-10 working days.
- EU: 7-14 working days. Customs adds 0-5 days unpredictably.
- Australia / NZ: 10-21 working days.
Total time from "I want one" to "I am wearing it"
Realistically, plan for 3-4 weeks total. Account for:
- Sizing kit shipping (1 week).
- You actually wearing the kit for the recommended 24-48 hours per candidate size — not 10 minutes — to be sure.
- Ring shipping (1.5-2 weeks).
- Customs, weekends and bank holidays not counted in working-day estimates.
People who skimp on the sizing test and order the wrong size add another 2-4 weeks for an exchange. Worth the extra day with the kit.
Where the delays happen
Customs holds
The biggest cause of "where is my ring" emails. UK orders post-Brexit are sometimes held at customs for 2-5 days even though Oura prepays the duties. EU orders see the same issue depending on which member state.
If your tracking has been "in customs" for more than 5 working days, contact Oura support — they can sometimes escalate with the carrier.
Stock outages
Less common but possible. Oura's Heritage and Stealth finishes are popular and occasionally back-order in mid-range sizes (8-10). Smaller and larger sizes (5, 12, 13) are sometimes back-ordered too due to lower production volumes.
If the order page showed your size as "in stock" when you ordered, you should not be hit by this — Oura rarely sells what it cannot ship within its stated window.
Carrier handoff
The most common "stuck tracking" experience: Oura ships, the international carrier (DHL) hands off to a local carrier (Royal Mail in the UK), and the tracking number stops updating for 1-2 days during the handoff. Be patient — it almost always resumes.
How to track
Oura emails a tracking link when the package leaves the warehouse. The link goes to the carrier's standard tracking page. If you lose the email:
- Log in to your Oura account at cloud.ouraring.com.
- Click on your order.
- The tracking number is shown there once it ships.
Speeding it up
Limited options. Oura does not offer paid express shipping at the consumer level — the standard service is the only choice. The single thing you can do is make sure your address is complete and correct (no missing apartment number, correct postcode) — incomplete addresses trigger holds.
